Our verdict

Krystal: 6.5/10, #5 of the hosts we track

Krystal is a UK host with London data centres whose prices don't jump at renewal: Amethyst is £7/mo ex VAT on day one and after. Its renewable-energy claim is listed by the Green Web Foundation, and every plan includes daily backups and unlimited mailboxes. It costs more than promo-led hosts in year one, but often less over three years. Phone support is business hours; 24/7 emergency phone is only on top plans.

The overall score is our all-round score. Buying guides re-weight the same components for each job, so Krystal's rank can differ in a guide (see "Rank in our buying guides" below). Methodology.
