UK Host Compare compares UK web hosting on the numbers that decide what you actually pay: intro price, renewal price, VAT, what's included and how you can get support. Every figure links back to the provider page it came from.

Who runs this site

UK Host Compare is published by Zephrell Limited, a UK company. We're a small, independent operation: no hosting company owns us or has a stake in us, and no provider can pay for a better position.

We don't present ourselves as a large editorial team, and we don't use invented reviewer names or personas. Pages are credited to "UK Host Compare editorial" because that's what they are: content researched, checked and published under the UK Host Compare name.

How the site is built

We run the site with a high degree of automation. Prices and features are recorded by hand or with tooling from each provider's official UK pages and stored in one dataset, with the source URL and the date each fact was verified. Every page is generated from that dataset, so a price change updates every table, guide and comparison at once. The site is rebuilt every week.

  • What we check: intro and renewal prices, term length, VAT basis, storage, sites, mailboxes, UK data-centre availability, support channels and selected features.
  • What we don't claim: we don't run our own speed or uptime tests and we don't say we've used every host. Where we mention performance features (NVMe, caching, CDN) they're the provider's published specs.
  • Reviews: we show each provider's Trustpilot score as published, never our own star ratings or made-up review counts.

How we make money

Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Right now we have affiliate relationships with some providers on the site and not others. Commission is never an input to our scores, and the same scoring formula applies to every provider. See our affiliate disclosure and methodology.

Corrections

If a price, plan or feature is wrong, email editor@ukhostcompare.co.uk with the page and the provider link. We check the provider's current page and fix the dataset; the fix appears everywhere on the next rebuild. Data on the site was last verified 2026-11-01.
